Frequently Asked Questions

Everything Orlando homeowners and project managers ask us before booking — answered plainly, with no sales spin.

How much does wallpaper installation cost in Orlando?

Most single accent walls in Orlando run a few hundred dollars in labor, while full rooms and specialty materials like grasscloth or murals cost more. Pricing depends on wall condition, material type, and pattern complexity. We give a firm written quote before any work begins — never an estimate that grows later.

Do you provide the wallpaper, or do I buy it myself?

Either works. Many clients order paper they have already fallen in love with, and we tell them exactly how many rolls to buy based on the pattern repeat. We can also source materials through our trade accounts, which is often cheaper for commercial-grade vinyl and specialty papers.

How long does a typical installation take?

A single accent wall usually takes half a day. A full room takes one to two days depending on prep. Larger commercial projects are quoted with a phased schedule, and we hit the dates we commit to.

Does Florida humidity ruin wallpaper?

Not when it is installed correctly. Humidity failures come from skipped priming, wrong adhesives, or papering over unsealed drywall. We use mildew-resistant primers and adhesives rated for Florida conditions, and we take moisture readings in bathrooms before hanging anything.

Can you hang wallpaper in a bathroom?

Yes — powder rooms are one of our most popular projects. For full bathrooms with showers, we assess the ventilation first and recommend vinyl or humidity-rated papers with the right adhesive so the paper stays flat for years.

Do you remove old wallpaper?

Yes. We strip old paper with steam and enzyme solutions, wash off all residual adhesive, repair the wall underneath, and prime it. Proper removal is the single most important step for a flawless new installation — or for a clean paint-ready wall.

Can you install wallpaper over existing wallpaper?

We do not recommend it and rarely agree to it. Old seams telegraph through the new paper, and the old adhesive can fail under the added weight, taking both layers off the wall. Removal costs less than redoing a failed double layer.

What types of wallcovering do you install?

All of them: non-woven, traditional pasted paper, vinyl and commercial Type II wallcovering, grasscloth, silk and fabric, peel-and-stick, and large-format murals. Each material has different handling rules, and after nine years we know them all.

Do you work with designers and general contractors?

Constantly. About a third of our work comes through Orlando interior designers and GCs. We read spec sheets, produce submittals when required, coordinate with other trades, and protect the designer’s client relationship on site.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — licensed, bonded, and insured. For commercial projects we provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 before mobilization, and our installers are background-checked for occupied properties.

How far outside Orlando do you travel?

We regularly work throughout Central Florida — Winter Park, Windermere, Lake Mary, Winter Garden, Oviedo, and everywhere in between. For larger commercial projects we travel farther; just ask when you request your quote.

How should I prepare my room before you arrive?

Just clear small and fragile items from the work area. We move furniture, protect floors, remove and reinstall outlet covers, and leave the room vacuumed. You do not need to do any wall prep — that is exactly the part you are paying us to do right.

What if my walls are damaged or textured?

We handle it. Orange-peel and knockdown textures common in Florida homes get skim-coated smooth before papering, and cracks or gouges are repaired as part of prep. Your quote lists prep work as its own line so you can see exactly what the wall needs.
